With My Mind's Madness

"Very Creative"

date: September 24, 2008

I dug the art direction you took with the pro/antagonist. The style was sort of reminiscent of Pendragon, only more refined. The painterly backgrounds were also a nice touch. The ending was pretty intense, and overall I really enjoed it. I rarely say that, so job well done.

Awesome Racer

"Alas..."

submission: Awesome Racer

So easy to rip off other peoples styles, so hard to make it as funny or interesting.

Homages and complete unoriginality are two completely different things, and this movie falls in the latter category.

Final Fight:the Nerd Saga

"Glad you submitted this separately"

date: July 23, 2008

I knew with this animation being at the very end of the Metal Gear Funnies collab would mean half or more of the people would never see it. But doesn't you making a movie about metal gear make you a nerd tooo!?!?!?!?!? Thats so ironic, hah! Oh wait, it's satire - something half of newgrounds has a hard time comprehending. Anyways, good animation and art. Got your point across.

"A Masterpiece"

submission: Ng Voicemail #973

I've laughed out loud at approximately 10 movies on newgrounds since 2001. Five of those movies are yours, and one of those five is this one. I'm not the reviewing type of guy, but this was too good not to. I started coming to NG to watch your stuff, so yeah. Make Keeblur 2. God damn.

The Plumber

"I enjoyed it thuroughly"

submission: The Plumber
date: March 3, 2008

I can tell you put a lot of time into that. Very good choice of music, and it was psychedelic to say the least. I'd say what brought it all together though was the goatse reference. Good job.

Author's Response:

I'm sure if I had left the goatse hands out this movie would have been a disaster. :P

Thanks for the review.

The Hyrde Ep. 1

"Interesting First Episode"

submission: The Hyrde Ep. 1
date: January 15, 2008

The voice acting was decent, though the script seemed a little wonky here and there ("just keep chopping goof-ball"). The animation was pretty good for the most part. I also thought the music was implemented well. The only real concern I have is - why didn't they just shoot the tree with that gun in the first place? If the gun so powerful that it can vaporize whatever it shoots (selectively though, since it didn't vaporize Specter as the tree was holding him), it seems like all the characters will ever have to do is go to a place, shoot the bad-guy, and repeat. I'd suggest putting some limitations on that gun to help in the audiences suspension of disbelief. Very stylish story though, and I'll be on the lookout for more.

Awesome Compilation Vol 5

"Man, I was confused"

date: November 20, 2007

At first I thought Awesome Rising was going to be based off of that shitty X-box game, "Advent Rising" that no one played. Dead Rising is obviously a much better choice. Oh, and FFVII is the best game EVAR LOLZORZ@@!!!

(PM's ftw)

Where's My Homework?

"Not too shabby at all"

date: March 1, 2007

Though I have seen better graphics in my day, you had some pretty good scene changes. That along with the musical timing made up for what was lacking in the drawing department. The story wasn't the most unique, but I'd imagine it was fun to make, so I can't blame you for animating it. I have a few suggestions for further work that would instantly help your graphics.

First, every color you used was extremely unsaturated, as it there wasn't much gray in it. Using bright reds, greens, blues, and so on make it look less professional. Life isn't as colorful as that, so when you're working in flash, find the color you want in the color mixer, and drag the little marker down half way, and saturate the color a bit. Secondly, characters with big heads, and arms, a dot for the nose, a pointed chin, and a small torso are over-done. Try to add a bit of your own style to it, and vary your line width. Bam, your graphics will look good immediately.

Hope the review helped. Keep up the good work.

P.S. - I've been animating for a while, but never really got the hang of synchronizing sound over a long period of time. What method did you use?

Author's Response:

I've been perfecrting the anime style of mine for a bit. But, I do have an american style. Plus, isn't life better colorful when it's a cartoon? Thanks for the advice, though!

To synch sound over along period of time, I just import it, put it in a blank keyframe, and then drag the sound out by extending it with keyframes.

Paintball - The Game

"Pretty entertaining"

date: October 31, 2006

Until you get to about the 15th level. I noticed there's something like 126 levels, but it doesn't present much of a challenge. It's all more of the same.

You should think about two things:

1. Put a limit to how much line you can draw. Then the player would really have to think of creative ways to get the ball to the goal.

2. Put a time limit on how long you can think about it.

Personally, all I had to do to win was draw a two line path straight to the end, and block off any possible escape places. All in all, entertaining, but not as challenging as I had hoped. Keep up the good work, and maybe a sequel?
