I've been looking for one of those elusive "jobs" I've heard so much about, and hadn't had any luck. I'm crashing on a futon, applying for jobs by day, and applying for jobs by night. I feel like I'm running out of jobs to apply for, so I'm starting to consider learning how to brew and pour over-priced commercialized coffee. I don't have a car, but I do have my bike, and apparently I'm in one of the most bike accessible places around.

I'm getting really tired of devoting all my time to stuff that will land me a job, so I'm trying to muster up the will to work on personal projects, such as the oft mentioned, long delayed, certainly forgotten about Crotchless Chaps 2. Maybe I'll start my own youtube channel so I can make a couple cents off the ad-revenue. Maybe make a web series out of it since I don't have anything else going on, other than the ever approaching $0 bank account.

Also, I was trying to beef up my illustration portfolio a bit so I made what I thought was a really cool drawing of Zelda (not Link) in a pseudo sequel to Majora's Mask. I posted it on reddit. No one gave a shit. I posted it on NG. No one gave a shit. I'm going to post it here again because seeing the extra couple of views will make me feel good. I saw "A Good Idea at the Time" about a bazillion years ago, probably a few hours after you submitted it.... a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then. Sorry I missed "The Legend of Link", the Feeds were probably down that day, so all your fans might not have been notified.
I've seen your name attached to many good and decent things around here, in the past decade or so. 1200+ people can't be wrong, so you must be doing something right!

Hahah oh man, A Good Idea at the Time. I kind of forgot I had even made that. I'm glad it didn't go unnoticed. Thanks a lot for the kind words. I really appreciate it. I know it seems like I'm getting down on myself, and it might seem like that a lot actually, but that's mostly because I think it's funny to be overtly melodramatic. I imagine things will look up at some point. And it's an exciting and unique position to be in, to say the least.

Ouch dude, you're scaring me. Buying you a virtual drink. I was wondering where you had wandered off to, I can't believe it's been 4 years since your last indie toon. I'm finally graduating from "Trust me, your 100k of debt will be worth it." soon, so I'll probably be right there with you. Keep posting about your Cali experience, me and a bunch of friends from the animation department at my school are talking about GTFO'ing to there as well after we graduate since... apparently that's where all the animation is at too. You are crazy talented! Crotchless Chaps would be an excellent web series, or just any web series you start, will be very sucessful. You are so funny and so good at character development and so creative. So hang in there and don't give up! Please keep us posted!

Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate it. I'm starting to take stock of my resources and see how viable it is to try and kick off a series, and comments like yours make me feel like it's a lot less of a bad idea. Hopefully I can figure my shit out soon. I'll keep you posted for sure-zies.

I agree with 7C's, maybe even break up Crotchless into parts and start getting them out there on YouTube, the sooner the better! Takes lots of constant views to get sponsorship, and the bread seems to be worth it. Maybe look up the guys at Titmouse or another animation company, see if they can help a homie out with TV distribution!
