Very well done

You had some very impressive graphics and animation at what seemed to be a pretty high frame rate, which makes it even more difficult. It definitely deserves the awards it's been given, and I'm very glad to see a serious action movie. Those don't come around too often.

There are a few things that I found a little sketchy, and personally, I don't find the previous reviewer "divinepimp" to really be that far off. He wasn't really being an asshole or anything, but was just giving constructive critisism. Some things in the movie go unanswered, and some animations were a little off, but it's nothing that would detract from the movie enough for it to matter that much. It was very well done and I'll look forward to seeing more of your work in the future. Good luck, and peace, I'm out.

Very Entertaining

Not the best artwork in the world, but you had some pretty good animation. That scream was pretty disturbing, but funny. I've never heard of a squirrel getting run over by a bike before, but if you say it has happened, I'll believe you. Anyways, it was an overall good movie. Keep up the good work. Peace, I'm out.

Incredible as Usual

For some reason, watching limbless, featureless characters get slaughtered mercilessly just never gets old. It's pretty amazing to see how this series has grown since the original way back in the day. This has been another great movie, and though I don't know how it's possible, I would love to see more. I didn't see how it was possible to make more after the last two movies though, so who knows. Keep up the great animation. Peace, I'm out.

I'm feeling this

I am definitely digging the art direction you're taking. It reminds me of Yukino, which used to be on Newgrounds a while back. The animation, though not the most fluid I've seen, is definitely good. I also like the general colors used. As for the story, I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but since it's a trailer, that's not all that important. Keep up the good work and shout me a holler if you need some VA help.

Nickelodeon was pretty crazy.

I don't remember hearing this on Nickelodeon ever, so there is no nostalgic value to this movie. I think it may be one of the worst songs I've ever heard, and who ever wrote it should probably get curbed. However, the movie wasn't too bad. Not the best graphics but not the worst. The preloader didn't work right, but the movie went in sequence with the song pretty well. Over all I'd say not a bad effort at all. One thing however: Little Richards rendition of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" dominated everything back in the day. That and Eureka's Castle. Peace, I'm out.

cheshirepus responds:

I guess you can't expect everyone to like the same things, can you? I'm sorry you don't like the song. It'll grow on you if you give it a chance. But thank you anyway. Since you didn't even like it that much, I'm flattered that you gave it a 7.
Thank you.

Good Effort

I can see you put a lot of work into this movie, and I appreciate the effort in trying to make it moving/entertaining. However, it was not a style that I personally enjoy. It was very simplistic, and the story reminds me a lot of a movie previously posted on newgrounds, only less interesting (can't remember the name but it was about a kid reading a book about pirates and imagines himself in a ship). As for the song, I personally think it seriously detracted from the movie. Regardless of it was live or not, I could barely understand the singer, so I was concentrating more on why the hell he was singing like that than what was going on in the movie. It was also very slow moving, and got boring. This is more of personal preference though, so just because I feel this way doesn't mean that your movie is bad. I just think you should choose less distracting music, use less "geometric" characters (It actually is a word. Maybe you should look it up.), and have it a bit faster paced. Keep up the good work though. Peace, I'm out.

interesting

Though I didn't really find it funny, I didn't like the whole "One smart and petite person together with a stupid moron make for hilarious hyjinx" idea, the cactaur's voice was annoying, the graphics weren't very well drawn, the animation was limited, the "hilairous hyjinx" weren't hilarious, and it was too long, I still liked it to an extent. It looks like you put a lot of effort into it, and it was a good effort. Though I personally don't care for it, it's only personal preference. Keep up the good work, and perhaps you could find an idea more original.

uh, yeah.... er.... um.... quah...

Interesting flash you have there. Strange names you decided to use. Unique, but strange. I question the intellegence of a person who would actually take a sword possessed by a demon encrusted in ice, in a cave, in the middle of winter (though it seemed like summer/early fall seconds before). I mean I could understand if he would take it if there wasn't an inscription or anything specifically stating that it was possessed by a demon, but there was. Also, he grew a beard pretty fast for just one night. Maybe it's one of those demon swords that makes you grow beards at ungodly speeds... I don't know. As for the voice acting, not great, but not terrible. My personal advice would be:

1) Up the IQ of your main characters.
2) Come up with unique, yet perhaps less strange names.
3) Cut down the time it takes a person to grow a beard.
4) Choose a season and stick with it.
5) Get better quality voice recordings.
6) Ditch the sticks.

Keep up the good work, peace, I'm out.

Not too shabby

Well, when it ended I was a little let down that it was so short, but I then looked at the size of the movie. For 230kb that's a pretty well done movie. I haven't read what the other reviewers have said about its, but I personally find the plot to be a bit strange. Why would a man kill the person he loves, and more importantly, why would the chick still love him. I'm sure there's got to be some reason, but with the movie being so short, you haven't explained much, and I'm not a fan of plot holes. Either way, the movie was well done. Keep up the good work, and perhaps make a longer movie. Peace, I'm out.

Tacotown responds:

yesss i like my movies filesize-efficient. yeah i really don't have an explicit plot (my reply to Livecorpse sums it up). the editor thought it would be a good idea to leave the plot open and let the audience decide. for example, i never said the man(vampire) loved the girl or that the girl loved him back. that's -your- version of the story and what you thought was unique to you. i'm babblin now, thanks for the review.

Much Improved

I bought in and watched your old movie, and there is a great improvement from the last one. It's a lot better animated, and the characters look a lot better too. That being said, there were some things that struck me as odd.
For one thing, your main character "Jericho", had no ears. I'm sure you could argue that his funky-ass goggles were covering them up, that that would mean his ears are extremely small and in the wrong spot on his head. Also, as cool as it may seem in your head, doing a front flip and shooting people in the face in mid-air just doesn't seem believable.
What I think you guys should work on the most is character design, and try to get your guys to look a bit more realisitic. When I say realistic, I mean proportional to a normal human being. Also, work on voice a bit more, since there was very little in this installment, and the ones in the previouse sounded pretty bad. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy the movie though. It was cool, and entertaining. Keep up the good work, and try to follow some if not all my advice. Peace, I'm out.

jerricco-team responds:

I do argue that his ears are covered up by the goggles ;). And if you knew all the workings of "JERRICCO" (just so everyone knows, it's double "R" double "C") you'd see that the flip isn't unreallistic. There's a little foreshadowing for ya. And yeah..voices will be better and that old episode 1 is in the primitive stages of our skills, so feel free to laugh at it.
Thanks for the advice.
